Quilt Among Friends 2400 West Pioneer Rd, Suite 250, Arlington, TX, United StatesWe're going to have sew much fun! I am teaching the first 2 days of the 3 day kids' sewing camp at Quilt Among Friends. Learning to sew can be fun! Each day is tailored to teaching basic sewing stitches and techniques. Day 1 is all about the basics! We will sew a sewing organizer to ensure they have a place for all their sewing tools easily accessible at home and at camp. Also great for desk accessories, such as pens, pencils, paper clips, erasers, etc. Day 2 is all about having fun piecing and seam allowances. Using modern quilting techniques, we will make a checkerboard to play on all summer long and beyond. Day 3 is all about conquering zippers and quilting. We will make the perfect accessory for traveling with a tablet or Kindle- a quilted zipper pouch. Join us for one or more of these classes, which will begin with an introduction to the sewing machine and sewing concepts for new young sewists. Sewing machines are NOT supplied for the class. Each student will need to bring one to use. Other class supplies will be posted so students will know what they will need to have for each project.
