I discovered Sencillo & Co. at a pop-up market last fall and couldn’t resist their Mulled Cider. It’s everything you love about fall in a jar! After the market, I immediately sought out their social media pages and hit the follow button. I’m so glad I did! Sencillo & Co. was started a few years ago by Amanda Rocha. She’s a hairstylist by day, and a candlemaker at night. If that wasn’t enough, she’s also a wife and a mom to a cute and sweet little boy.
Amanda is one of the sweetest artisans I’ve met at a market, and her love for community, family, and support of other local artisans is apparent. Her shop is based around the word “Sencillo,” which means simple in Spanish. It’s that simplicity of her candles that I personally love. She uses 100% soy wax, and she use cotton and wood wicks without additives to continue giving a clean burn and no dyes. With my autoimmune issues, I’m a bit more sensitive to chemicals and dyes often found in candles, and I love that I can “simply” enjoy my Sencillo & Co. candles without worry.
My mother loves roses, so we had a several rose bushes in our yard growing up. When I saw the Como La Flor scent, I knew I had to buy it. It smells like fresh cut roses, and my mother loves it! Lo and I are excited for warmer days with the Grapefruit & Lemongrass scent burning in our home the past couple of days. If you love celebrating fall and winter year round (We do!), you can still purchase a few fall and winter scents, too.
