Simplicity Jersey Tee Dress

We caught the last night of Monet: The Last Years at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth this weekend, and it was lovely! The weather was beautiful, and since I hadn’t blogged this t-shirt dress, I had Jon snap a few photos while we were there.

I’ve made a few versions of Simplicity 2054 (It’s out of print now, but you can still find copies online.) over the past few years, and I love all of them! I blogged my sweater dress version here.

For this version, I used this Telio jersey knit (Affiliate link) from my stash, and I love how soft this fabric is! It drapes beautifully and feels comfortable to wear throughout the spring, summer, and fall months in Texas. I’ve worn this dress about once every couple of weeks, if not more, since I made it last summer, and the fabric is just as beautful as the first wash.

I kept the sleeves just below the elbow to make it easier when I throw on a cardigan or other layers. I love having basic pieces that work well alone and with other pieces in my closet!

Do you have a pattern you love and have sewn more than a few times? What do you love about it?
